Accelerated Tech Solutions (ATS) was developed in 2020 to address online technical training needs that skyrocketed during the pandemic. As we slowly transition out of the pandemic, the need for online technical training has not diminished, especially across large, geographically diverse organizations such as the National Estuarine Research Reserve System (NERRS).
This proposal outlines the concept of developing instructor-led and self-paced online and hybrid (online/onsite) training opportunities geared toward topics of interest for all components of the NERRS, including regional, state and community partners.
Geospatial Boot Camp: basic GIS mapping courses
ArcGIS Online Mapping- Create easy affective online maps for every skill level
StoryMaps: Create effective storytelling products using a multimedia online tool.
Survey 123: Easy to create and use for volunteer or citizen science ground surveys
TOTE Geospatial Training: Teacher professional development training for bringing estuarine mapping into classrooms.
Mapping My Reserve: a Geospatial STEM program
Fundamentals of Soundscape Ecology
Research Design for Soundscape Ecology
Biodiversity Indices using R
Joint Terrestrial and Aquatic Acoustic Phenology Program
Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS/Drone)
Introduction to Drone Use for Reserves
Mapping and Surveying Using Drones
